Baki khata software that keeps every customer's due straight
Baki is part of doing business in Bangladesh. Your regular customers buy today and pay at the end of the month, a contractor pays when his bill clears, a retailer pays the distributor after he sells the goods. The trouble starts when the baki khata is a notebook: a page gets torn, a figure is written twice, a customer says "I already paid that" and you have no proof.
Posify24 is a digital baki khata that fills itself. Every credit sale writes the due on the customer's account the moment the bill is saved. Every payment you collect takes it off. You always know who owes you, how much and for how long, from any browser.

The due is written when the sale is made
You do not need a separate notebook. When you attach a customer to a sale on the POS or on a sale order and they pay only part of the bill, the unpaid amount goes to their due automatically. You can set a due date on the sale, and each customer can have their own credit days.
When you start using Posify24, enter each customer's opening due, the amount they already owed you from your old khata. From that day on, Posify24 keeps the balance.
The customer's next invoice prints their previous due, so they see the full amount every time they buy. That alone ends many arguments at the counter.
Stop baki from getting out of hand
The biggest danger with baki is a customer whose due keeps growing. In Posify24 you set a credit limit for each customer. If a sale would take them over that limit, Posify24 refuses it. Your staff cannot give more credit than you allowed, even when you are not at the shop.
Collect payments and see who is late
When a customer pays, record it as a deposit from the customer in Accounts. Their due goes down and the money shows in your cash or bank, as described on the accounts and cash book page.
The customer due ageing report puts every customer's due into groups: 0-30 days, 31-60, 61-90 and over 90 days. Payments settle the oldest invoices first, so you see clearly which money is old and needs chasing. For a grocery or mudi shop with dozens of baki customers, this is the list to work through every week.
Dues by rep and by territory
Distributors sell on credit through their sales reps. Posify24 records the rep on each sale, and the rep outstanding report shows the bills each rep still has to collect as on any date, by territory, customer or branch. The due ageing report can also be grouped by territory. More on the field sales and territories page.
Supplier dues too
The same works the other way. Every supplier has a payable balance that goes up with each purchase receive and down with each payment or return. The stakeholder ledger in accounts reports shows the full history with any customer or supplier, entry by entry.

Any shop or business that sells on credit. Yes. Add each customer and enter the amount they owe you today as their opening due. From then on, new sales and payments update the balance automatically.
Can the customer see how much they owe?
The printed sale invoice shows their previous due along with the new bill. You can also print or export their ledger from the reports if they ask for a statement.
Can Posify24 send customers an SMS?
Yes, if an SMS gateway is set up under Communication settings. Posify24 can send the sale invoice to the customer by SMS, and a payment confirmation when you record their payment, so both sides have a record. SMS usage is tracked in the app.
